Here at Josh.ai, we’re all about simplicity. We strive to make the interface between users and technology one that is intuitive and natural.

As any user of new technology, you may be intimidated or confused on how to speak to a voice controlled home automation system. With Josh, we put a lot of effort into making the experience so easy, you should just be able to start using it.

To get you started, we’ve put together a series of quick 20–30 second videos that help you get acquainted with your new Josh system. Check out the latest below.

There are times where you may want to temporarily deactivate the microphones in your home. For example, you may be having a dinner party and you don’t want people in the home to be able to walk up to Josh Micro and issue commands to control your home.

You can easily disable the microphones from being active on Josh. By default, you can double tap the surface of Josh Micro, which will mute the microphones. Alternatively, you can also login to the Josh app and mute the microphones that way. This is a good solution if you want to disable the microphones while you are away from the home.
