Smart Home Design Inspiration

At Josh.ai we’re building a voice-activated control system for the home. Although voice is important, we’re still focused on designing a beautiful UI for everything from music control to lighting. Below are a few of the great design inspirations we’ve come across for the smart home.

We’re big fans of the Zuli Smartplugs design. Below is the flow for a user setting up the smartplug for the first time. The app scans for new plugs, then takes the user down a customization path for each plug. We love the animation. See more at Dribbble.

We don’t see too many fan controllers, but this one does a great job. Designed by Chiragd, this controller for a fan take a fun play on the radial dial. Nice attentiont to detail without cluttering the interface.
