At Josh.ai we’re building the most advanced home automation system. In order to create a fully orchestrated home with smart lighting, whole-home audio, voice controlled TV, and more, we integrate with some of the best technology companies today. Below is by no means a complete list, but an assortment of products we highly recommend this holiday season.

Note: Prices are currently discounted due to Black Friday sales.

Lutron is a terrific manufacturer of smart lighting and blinds. Their entry level product line is called Caséta, their mid-tier is RadioRA2, and their top of the line is HomeWorks QS. Josh.ai integrates with all 3, making it easy to voice control and automate your entire home with a Lutron product.

If you’re new to smart lighting, we recommend starting with the Caséta Starter Kit which you can get from Best Buy for $189.99 here.

Sonos makes some of the best smart speakers you can control and stream over WiFi. If you have Sonos throughout your home, you can easily group speakers making for a pretty amazing experience. Currently you can get the entry level PLAY:1 direct from Sonos for $149 here.

Apple TV and Roku are two great products that make any TV a smart one. Working with Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, and other services, these products are a no-brainer. The interfaces are slightly different so we’re recommending both as terrific gifts this season.

Buy the Apple TV for $149 from Apple

Buy the Roku 4 for $99.99 from Best Buy

Nest has been at it almost 7 years now and they still make the #1 thermostat we’d recommend. Honeywell and ecobee have some great products as well, but if you’re getting a gift and want a truly delightful product, we suggest the Nest Smart Learning Thermostat you can buy directly from Nest for $199 here.

This year we’ve seen the Amazon Echo grow in popularity and the competing Google Home come on the market. At only $39.99, however, we have to suggest the Echo Dot. The Echo Dot comes equipped with Alexa, integrates nicely with Josh.ai, and can be connected to your speakers over Bluetooth. You can get one (or more) directly from Amazon here.

The smart-lock space is a fast growing one and we expect to see more and better options in 2017. Currently our favorite for most homes is the Lockitron Bolt. You can pick one up for only $99 directly from Lockitron here.

This is a little pricier for a Christmas gift, but Big Ass Fans (yes that’s really their name) has a product called the Haiku which can be voice-controlled by Josh.ai and app controlled right from their app. Starting at $450 this is a stylish fan that comes in a variety of colors and materials. Buy directly from Big Ass Fans here.

There are tons of security cameras on the market today, but our favorite is still the Nest Cam. While less expensive options are available, this one integrates well, has a great image quality, and is versatile for most applications. Pick one up from Nest for $149 here.

The list could keep going, but we’ll stop there. If you’re looking to get a new homeowner or tech-friendly family member a gift, we hope this list gives you a few ideas. Happy holiday season and good luck shopping!
